Do you come to Bath, or do I bring the car to you?
All coating work happens at the studio rather than on your driveway. Ceramic chemistry rewards a controlled environment — machine polishing under proper lighting, dust-free application bays and an overnight indoor cure — results a mobile application can’t guarantee. Drop-off and collection are by appointment.

What is a ceramic coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to the paint and cures into a hard, glossy layer. It does not change the colour or hide defects; it protects what is underneath and makes the surface easier to clean.
Is ceramic coating worth it?
It is worth it for owners who want easier maintenance, lasting gloss and better resistance to contamination. It is not a substitute for careful washing, and it will not stop stone chips.
Will a coating stop scratches and stone chips?
No. Hardness claims are routinely exaggerated. A coated car still picks up chips and scuffs — paint protection film is the answer for impact protection, and can be combined with a coating.
Why does the paint need polishing first?
Coatings are transparent, so swirls and haze are sealed in and made more obvious by the gloss on top. Correction always comes first, which is why the coating is part of a detailing package rather than a standalone product.
What is included in the price?
Every package includes a machine polish and either a Gtechniq or Titan coating, depending on the package. Gtechniq C5 on the wheel faces can be added for £50. The 3-Year package uses Titan PX10, the 5-Year uses Crystal Serum Light topped with EXOv5, and the 9-Year uses Crystal Serum Ultra topped with EXOv5. Prices depend on your car’s size and whether the paint needs a single-stage or two-stage polish.
How do I look after a coated car?
Maintain with washing with the right products, and avoid automated car washes or brushes. We provide aftercare guidance at handover, and you can book monthly maintenance washes with us.
How long does the work take?
It takes two to four days, depending on the correction level and which areas of the car are coated, and the coatings cure overnight in the studio before we hand the car back. Most Bath customers drop the car in the morning and collect once the cure is complete — we’ll confirm timings when we book you in.
