Full-car XPEL paint protection film on a new Aston Martin DB11 V8
This Aston Martin DB11 V8 came to our Wiltshire studio from new for full coverage in XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film, finished with XPEL Fusion Plus ceramic coating over the top. A DB11 is a car that gets driven properly, which is exactly why owners protect one from the start rather than after the first motorway run has already marked the nose.
Preparation before the film
Film is clear, so whatever is in the paint underneath stays there and is sealed in for years. Even a brand new car arrives with transport marks and the marring left by a dealer wash, so the DB11 was given a full exterior decontamination and a single-stage machine polish before any film was fitted.
Full coverage in XPEL Ultimate Plus
Every exterior painted panel was covered, along with the headlights and the areas around the sills and arches that take the most punishment. XPEL Ultimate Plus is self-healing, so light marks in the surface of the film disappear with heat, and it carries a 10-year warranty against yellowing and peeling. XPEL Fusion Plus ceramic coating
Film on its own still needs washing, so a ceramic coating went over the top. Fusion Plus adds a slick, strongly water-repellent layer across the film and the exposed paint, so the car sheds water and road grime, stays cleaner between washes and is far easier to maintain without putting marks back into the surface.
