BMW M3 CS Touring – full XPEL PPF and Gtechniq ceramic protection
This 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring, finished in Black Sapphire Metallic, arrived at our Hilperton studio for our BMW new car protection package. The owner wanted the highest level of long-term protection for both the exterior paintwork and the interior carbon fibre trim, which made paint protection film the natural starting point.
Full exterior XPEL paint protection film
We installed XPEL self-healing paint protection film across every painted exterior panel — bonnet, front bumper and wings, doors, sills, rear quarters, tailgate and rear bumper. Fitted wet and wrapped into the panel edges, the gloss film guards the car against stone chips and road debris, light scratches and swirl marks, and everyday environmental fallout, all without altering the look of the paint.
Carbon-look roof, red pin-striping and interior trim
The gloss black roof was transformed with carbon-look PPF, giving the appearance of a carbon fibre roof while adding a further layer of protection over the paint beneath. Red pin-striping decals were then applied to the bonnet and side skirts to pick out the car’s carbon accents. Inside, the carbon fibre trim — including the backs of the carbon bucket seats and the centre console — was covered with precision-cut film to stop scuffs and marks building up in the areas that get handled most, the same approach we take on any interior protection job. We have since protected a Laguna Seca Blue M3 CS Touring to the same specification, minus the roof conversion.
Gtechniq ceramic coatings for long-term durability
Once the film had fully settled we applied Gtechniq Halo, a ceramic coating formulated specifically for use over paint protection film. It lifts gloss and surface slickness, improves hydrophobic performance and makes the car considerably easier to wash. The gold forged wheels were coated inside and out with Gtechniq’s high-performance products to keep brake dust, road grime and corrosion at bay so brake dust and road grime rinse away rather than baking on.
