Paint correction and a Swissvax detail on a Porsche 993 Turbo
This 1998 Porsche 993 Turbo came to our Wiltshire studio for a full paint correction detail and a Swissvax finish. The 993 was the last air-cooled 911, and a Turbo is now a car people keep rather than replace, so the work here was about bringing the original paint back properly rather than covering anything up.
Machine polishing the original paint
The car was safely washed and fully decontaminated, then machine polished to take out the swirl marks and scratches that decades of washing had put into it. Trim and light units were masked or removed where that gave a safer result than working up to an edge, and the correction was checked panel by panel under inspection lighting. The taped-off before-and-after panels in the gallery show what changed rather than asking you to take our word for it.
A Swissvax finish, inside and out
The corrected paint was finished by hand with Swissvax wax, which suits a car of this era: warmth and depth in the finish rather than the glassy look of a modern coating. Wheels, glass and the tan interior were all cleaned and protected too, so the car was returned right through rather than just polished on the outside. If you would rather have longer-term protection, our ceramic coating and XPEL paint protection film options do that job instead.
